Where it came from
Anime de Training! XX was released in 2016 as the second season of the fitness-themed anime series produced by Rising Force. The series was designed to bridge the gap between traditional animation and physical health, utilizing a unique format where the characters demonstrate various exercise routines, such as sit-ups and push-ups, while encouraging viewers to participate alongside them.
The production sought to capitalize on the success of the first season, focusing on the character-driven appeal of idol-themed fitness training. While the series maintains a niche status within the experimental genre of 'workout anime,' it is recognized for its simple, functional animation style which prioritizes clear movement patterns to ensure that the exercises are easily followed by the audience.
