Asa na Yuu na

Asa ga Kita, which translates to 'Morning has Come', was a highly successful Japanese television drama produced by NHK as the 93rd installment of its long-running Asadora series. It premiered in 2015 as the first historical drama in the series to be set during the Meiji period, centering on the life of Asako Hirooka, a pioneering businesswoman and advocate for women's education who founded one of Japan's first universities for women.

The production sought to balance historical accuracy with an inspiring narrative, drawing inspiration from the biography by Fusako Furukawa. The drama was praised for its meticulously researched period detail and its portrayal of a strong female protagonist navigating the restrictive social norms of the era. It achieved significant critical and commercial success, garnering some of the highest viewership ratings for an Asadora in the 21st century and contributing to a notable surge in public interest regarding Japanese industrial history.
