The studio chose a distinct blend of traditional animation and 3D computer-generated imagery to capture the visceral, often exaggerated physics of the fights that define the franchise.

The character designs were handled by Fujio Suzuki, who sought to modernize the rugged, blocky look of the original 1990s manga while maintaining the series' signature anatomical intensity.
