Balala Xiao Mo Xian: Xing Yuan Die Qi 2

Balala Xiao Mo Xian: Xing Yuan Die Qi 2 is part of the long-running Balala the Fairies multimedia franchise, produced by the Chinese company Alpha Group (Alpha Animation). The franchise first launched in 2008 as a live-action series and quickly expanded into a massive intellectual property encompassing animated ONA and TV series, films, and merchandise targeting young audiences. The Xing Yuan Die Qi series represents a modern evolution of the brand, leaning into digital animation techniques to refresh the magical girl aesthetic that has defined the series for over a decade.

The character designs and animation style are intended to align with contemporary trends in Chinese children's animation, prioritizing vibrant color palettes and elaborate costume transformations that appeal to the franchise's core demographic. While the creative direction is handled by the internal studios at Alpha Animation, the production follows a tradition of blending fantasy elements with relatable school-life themes. As a niche regional production, the series is primarily recognized for its cultural impact within China, serving as a staple of domestic children's programming.
