Bamboo Blade: Fanfu-Fufe-Fo

Bamboo Blade: Fanfu-Fufe-Fo is a special bonus animation episode released in 2008, following the conclusion of the twenty-six-episode television anime series Bamboo Blade. Produced by studio AIC A.S.T.A., the project served as an epilogue and a lighthearted extension of the original sports comedy manga by Masahiro Totsuka and Aguri Igarashi. It was designed to provide fans with additional character-driven segments that maintained the series' core focus on the humorous dynamics of a high school kendo club.

The animation reflects the aesthetic established in the primary 2007 television run, characterized by a character-focused style intended to bridge the gap between competitive kendo action and the characters' daily lives. As a direct-to-video style extra, the production was received by the fan base as a complementary piece of media that rounded out the comedic interactions of the cast. It remains a notable point of interest for collectors of the broader Bamboo Blade franchise, marking the final animated contribution from the original production team.
