BBOONG-UH CAFE Pilot

Bboong-uh Cafe originated from Pingo Entertainment as a pilot project for an original net animation, centering on the whimsical concept of anthropomorphic fish-shaped pastries, or bungeo-ppang, coming to life within a cafe setting. Developed to explore character-driven storytelling within a brief, high-concept format, the pilot was crafted to test audience interest in a quirky, slice-of-life aesthetic that highlights Korean snack culture through a stylized, vibrant lens.

The animation design focuses on expressive, rounded character silhouettes and a warm, inviting color palette meant to evoke the comforting atmosphere of a neighborhood bakery. While the pilot served primarily as a proof of concept for potential long-form development, it was received as a charming curiosity by animation enthusiasts who follow indie studio experiments, noting its polished visual rhythm and the lighthearted personality injected into its inanimate subjects.
