Black Butler II

Black Butler II was produced by A-1 Pictures and released in 2010 as a direct follow-up to the 2008 anime adaptation of Yana Toboso’s manga series. Unlike the first season, which adhered more closely to the source material, this series introduced an original narrative trajectory focusing on a new dynamic between the butler Sebastian Michaelis and his young charge, Alois Trancy. The character designs for the second season were handled by Minako Shiba, who aimed to maintain the series' signature sharp, elegant visual style while introducing new, contrasting character archetypes.
