Boku wa Kyou mo

Boku wa Kyou mo, or 'I am, today too,' is a deeply introspective manga series by the Japanese author and illustrator known as Natsume. Emerging from the contemporary slice-of-life genre, the work is centered on the quiet, often melancholic observations of daily existence. It reflects a growing trend in modern Japanese literature and illustration that prioritizes mood and internal monologue over conventional narrative pacing.

The visual design of the series is characterized by minimalist line work and a deliberate use of negative space, which mirrors the protagonist's sense of detachment and self-reflection. When released, the work was received by critics as a poignant exploration of urban loneliness and the subtle texture of ordinary life. It garnered a dedicated following among readers who appreciate experimental storytelling that avoids dramatic tropes in favor of authentic, atmospheric grounding.
