Cang Lan Jue Part 2

Cang Lan Jue Part 2, widely recognized as the continuation of the multimedia franchise derived from Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's xianxia novel, was produced by iQIYI following the significant success of its live-action adaptation. This animated iteration was developed to satisfy the sustained audience demand for further exploration of the series' intricate world-building and the complex relationship between the Moon Supreme, Dongfang Qingcang, and the fairy Orchid. The production sought to translate the high-fantasy aesthetic of the source material into a distinct visual medium, focusing on the vibrant, magical realism characteristic of Chinese web animation.

The design and artistic direction were handled by iQIYI's in-house animation teams, who aimed to preserve the character silhouettes and emotional depth established by the novel while experimenting with dynamic CGI sequences to capture the series' signature combat and mystical transformations. Upon its release, the project was received as a companion piece to the broader Cang Lan Jue intellectual property. It was particularly noted for its effort to maintain narrative consistency across mediums, serving as a dedicated expansion for long-term fans of the franchise's overarching lore and character arcs.
