Chuizhi Shijie: Dizhonghai Mei Shaonian

Chuizhi Shijie, often translated as Vertical World, is a web-based animation project produced by the prolific Chinese studio Haoliners Animation. Launched as an ONA (Original Net Animation) series, it emerged during a period of rapid expansion for Chinese digital animation, designed to leverage the growing popularity of serialized manhua and web-comics. The project represents the studio's effort to adapt complex, narrative-driven content into short-form, high-quality digital episodes intended for mobile consumption and online streaming platforms.

The specific arc Dizhonghai Mei Shaonian, or Mediterranean Beautiful Boy, reflects the studio’s stylistic commitment to blending traditional anime aesthetics with contemporary digital production techniques. The design and artistic direction were helmed by the Haoliners creative team, who focused on fluid movement and atmospheric color palettes to distinguish the work from traditional television animation. While the series was received primarily by a niche audience of domestic animation enthusiasts, it remains a notable example of the studio's technical versatility and their influence on the development of Chinese internet-native storytelling.
