Di Gi Charat (a.k.a. Dejiko) - along with Petit Charat (a.k.a. Puchiko) and Gema - travels to Earth as part of her training to become a full-fledged princess. They crash on a small town in Japan, where they meet the Omocha brothers (who spend most of their time thinking how cute Puchiko is) and Mr. & Mrs. Ankoro (an elderly couple that makes Japanese sweets).

Where it came from
Di Gi Charat Nyo was produced by the renowned animation studio Madhouse and broadcast in 2003 as a reimagining of the original Di Gi Charat franchise. Following the success of the character Dejiko as a mascot for the Gamers retail chain, this series sought to broaden the appeal of the property by moving away from the short-form sketches of previous iterations into a longer, more traditional episodic format centered on the character's life on Earth.
The character designs retained the iconic look established by Koge-Donbo, who served as the original creator and designer for the franchise. The series aimed for a whimsical, lighthearted tone that emphasized the comedic interactions between Dejiko and her peers, reflecting the aesthetic sensibilities of the early 2000s moé subculture. While it served as a significant expansion of the lore, it was received primarily as a niche title for existing fans of the franchise's mascot-driven marketing.
