Douluo Dalu: Wan Xian Geng Xin

Douluo Dalu: Wan Xian Geng Xin, or Soul Land: Renewal of Ten Thousand Immortals, serves as a high-fidelity continuation of the long-running Soul Land 3D animation series produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures. Released to expand the expansive xianxia narrative originally adapted from Tang Jia San Shao's web novel, this project was conceived to leverage cutting-edge motion capture and render technology to depict the series' signature high-stakes martial spirit battles and intricate world-building with greater visual density than previous iterations.

The visual design of this installment emphasizes a transition toward more cinematic lighting and complex character modeling, a stylistic choice intended to satisfy the expectations of an increasingly discerning domestic and international audience. By refining the aesthetic established in the earlier seasons of the franchise, the creative team aimed to maintain thematic continuity while offering a technical showcase of Tencent’s proprietary animation capabilities, ultimately receiving recognition for its contribution to the technical maturation of Chinese 3D donghua.
