Fairy gone Season 2

Fairy gone was produced by P.A.WORKS and directed by Kenichi Suzuki as an original dark fantasy anime series, premiering in 2019. The project was conceived as an ambitious expansion into the 'fairy weapon' subgenre, set in a post-war world where soldiers can summon fairy manifestations to act as alter egos. The production sought to blend gritty political intrigue with high-stakes supernatural combat, resulting in a distinct visual style characterized by heavy industrial aesthetics juxtaposed against ethereal creature designs.

The series design was led by Takako Shimizu, who focused on integrating the human and fairy elements through a cohesive, grounded art direction. Despite its high production values and original premise, the show received a mixed reception from critics and audiences, many of whom found the narrative pacing and complex world-building challenging to follow. By the time the second cour, often referred to as Season 2, concluded the story later in 2019, it had solidified its place as a niche title within the P.A.WORKS catalog, noted more for its creative risks than for widespread commercial success.
