Gakuen 3

Gakuen 3 is a 2011 original video animation (OVA) produced by the Japanese studio MS Pictures. Released during a period when the studio was active in producing independent or niche-market animation projects, this title serves as the third entry in the Gakuen series. The production emerged from a landscape of direct-to-video content aimed at specific demographics, focusing on character-driven narratives within a school-life setting, which was a staple theme for studios of this size during the early 2010s.

The creative direction for the project prioritized a stylized aesthetic intended to resonate with fans of contemporary indie anime. While the individual designers and illustrators remain largely uncredited in mainstream industry databases, the series is characterized by the modest technical constraints common to boutique OVA productions of that era. Upon its release, the title gained recognition primarily within specialized enthusiast circles, serving as a functional, if modest, continuation of the series’ established visual language and thematic tropes.
