Where it came from
Garon is a 2013 experimental short film that emerged from the independent animation scene, serving as a platform for exploring abstract visual storytelling. The project was created to push the boundaries of minimalist narrative, focusing on atmospheric world-building rather than traditional dialogue-driven exposition.
The film was designed with a heavy emphasis on geometric composition and a stark, limited color palette, reflecting a deliberate effort to evoke an unsettling, immersive experience for the viewer. While it maintained a niche profile, it was recognized within contemporary film circles for its distinct aesthetic direction and commitment to visual-first cinematic language.
