Ginsoukikou Ordian

Ginsoukikou Ordian is a science fiction anime series produced by the studio Plum, which aired in 2000. The series was directed by Masami Obari, a creator well-regarded for his distinct mechanical design style and action choreography in the mecha genre. The production emerged during a period of experimentation within the industry, attempting to blend traditional mecha tropes with a focus on dramatic narrative and aesthetic flair.

The series is noted for its character and mecha designs, which reflect the sharp, angular look typical of Obari's work from that era. Despite the creative involvement of established talent, the show struggled to gain significant commercial traction or a long-lasting critical footprint. It remains a representative example of turn-of-the-millennium independent studio animation efforts, often discussed by enthusiasts for its unique visual presentation rather than its impact on the wider anime canon.
