Where it came from
Haai! Myakumyaku desu is a television series produced by Studio Fanworks, released in 2025 as a spin-off expansion of the promotional campaign for the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The series centers on the character Myakumyaku, the official mascot of Expo 2025, who was originally designed to represent the fusion of organic cells and water, embodying the concepts of unity and biological continuity.
The animation serves to anthropomorphize the mascot, providing a narrative framework that softens its somewhat surreal and unconventional initial appearance. By utilizing a lighthearted, episodic format, the production aims to familiarize the general public with the mascot's design identity, bridging the gap between the event's high-concept branding and approachable, character-driven entertainment.
