Huan Jie Wang

Huan Jie Wang, also known as The King of Ring, is an original net animation produced by Tencent Animation & Comics. The series was developed as part of Tencent's broader strategy to adapt popular domestic web novels and manhua into high-quality digital animation, reflecting the rapid growth of the Chinese domestic animation industry during the mid-2010s. It focuses on the fusion of modern fantasy themes with traditional cultivation elements, a genre that has dominated the Chinese digital entertainment space for over a decade.

The visual design and animation direction were handled by internal teams at Tencent, aiming to capture the dynamic action sequences characteristic of serialized web literature. By utilizing digital rendering techniques to replicate the aesthetic of contemporary manhua, the studio intended to provide a familiar visual language for existing readers of the original source material. Upon its release on Tencent's proprietary video platforms, the series was received as a key example of the company's commitment to building a transmedia ecosystem, garnering a steady viewership among fans of Chinese fantasy animation.
