Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo OVA

Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo, known in English as Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, originated as a popular light novel series by Shachi Sogano. The 2022 animation project, produced by Studio Passione, was adapted from the series to cater to the dark fantasy and isekai subgenres. The studio chose to lean into the explicit and mature themes inherent in the source material, resulting in an OVA-style production format that pushed the boundaries of standard television broadcast expectations for the genre.

The character designs were handled by Makoto Uno, who aimed to translate the detailed illustrations of the light novels into a cohesive visual style suitable for the medium. The project was received with significant interest within the otaku community, largely due to its high production value and the studio's commitment to the source material's provocative narrative trajectory. Its release served to expand the reach of the franchise beyond the literary sphere, solidifying its place in contemporary isekai anime culture.
