JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: STONE OCEAN Part 2

Stone Ocean represents the fifth season of the long-running anime adaptation of Hirohiko Araki’s manga series, produced by david production. This second batch of episodes, released in 2022 as an original net animation, continues the narrative of Jolyne Cujoh, the series' first female protagonist, as she navigates the perils of Green Dolphin Street Prison. The production follows the studio's established commitment to translating Araki’s distinct, high-contrast artistic style and kinetic paneling into a vibrant, animated format.

The visual direction for the Stone Ocean arc builds upon the studio's decade-long experience with the franchise, utilizing a bold color palette and dynamic framing to mirror the manga’s flamboyant aesthetic. It was developed to capture the complex, strategy-focused Stand battles that define the series. Upon its digital release, the season was met with interest from the established global fanbase, who noted the studio's technical dedication to maintaining the stylized, eccentric tone inherent in Araki's storytelling since the mid-1980s.
