King's Game

King's Game, known in Japan as Ousama Game The Animation, was produced by the studio Seven and aired in 2017. The series is based on a popular mobile phone novel and subsequent manga series written by Nobuaki Kanazawa, which explores the dark premise of a high school class forced to participate in a deadly series of challenges dictated by a mysterious figure known as the King. The narrative taps into the survival-horror trope prevalent in Japanese media, centering on themes of isolation, forced cooperation, and moral deterioration under extreme duress.
