Koi-ken! Watashitachi Anime ni Nacchatta!

Koi-ken! Watashitachi Anime ni Nacchatta! was released in 2012 as an original net animation produced by studio Marvy Jack. The series was designed as a promotional tie-in for the mobile dating simulation game Koi-ken!, which centered on the theme of high school romances between the player character and various male students. The production aimed to expand the franchise's reach by translating the interactive visual novel experience into a short-form episodic animated format, leveraging the popularity of the voice acting cast to attract the game's existing player base.

The animation reflects the aesthetic trends of early 2010s digital anime production, prioritizing character-driven vignettes over elaborate action sequences. By focusing on the personality quirks of the core cast, the series sought to replicate the intimacy of the original game's character routes. While the project was received primarily as a niche product for fans of the source material, it stands as a documentation of the era's strategy of utilizing short-form web content to maintain engagement within the mobile gaming market.
