Based on the erotic game by Tinker Bell. Mibuu Kyousuke is a detective who finds himself lost in the mountains where he dreams of a girl who is involved in an obscene ritual of torture and molestation by deformed old men and a bull. When he finds a house he meets the girl from his dreams (Yukino) and decided he wants to save her. Yukino thanks him for his kindness but begs him to leave since it is dangerous for outsiders. The longer Kyousuke stays at the house the more he finds himself being overtaken by desire. Will he be able to save Yukino and her family from their nightly torture or will he become a victim himself?

Where it came from
Kowaku no Toki was released in 2011 by the studio PoRO, a production house well-known within the adult animation sector for its specific focus on high-fidelity, narrative-driven erotic content. Produced as an original video animation, or OVA, it emerged during a period when the studio was solidifying its reputation for polished character designs and deliberate, atmospheric pacing, often prioritizing a consistent visual aesthetic that distinguished its catalog from more mainstream anime titles of the era.
The production design reflects the studio’s signature approach to the genre, characterized by soft-focus lighting, detailed character models, and a focus on intimate, character-focused storytelling rather than expansive action sequences. As is typical for PoRO releases, the work was crafted to meet the specific expectations of its niche audience, emphasizing refined artistic quality and thematic cohesion. Upon release, it was received as a standard entry in the studio's broader portfolio, appreciated primarily by dedicated collectors of adult-oriented OVA titles for its technical execution and stylistic fidelity to the house style.
