To Kirino High, the goal of getting into Koshien Stadium becomes important because the 100th anniversary is around the corner. However, Kurokan's unique way of training has upset the Kirino High Baseball Team Support Association and Alumni Club. Morioka, on the other hand, is a preferrable coach beacuse of his solid style. At the same time, Kurokan's decision on player positions has caused confusions to the team.

Where it came from
Kurokan is a short-form original net animation produced by Studio 4°C and released in 2007. It was created as a creative showcase for the studio's stylistic range, emerging during a period when the Japanese animation industry was increasingly experimenting with web-based distribution models to bypass traditional broadcast constraints and explore more avant-garde visual narratives.
The animation is characterized by its distinct, hyper-stylized aesthetic, which reflects Studio 4°C's signature approach of blending unconventional character designs with fluid, kinetic movement. It was conceived as a visual exercise rather than a narrative-heavy project, and upon its release, it was received primarily as a technical curiosity within the animation enthusiast community, admired for its experimental direction rather than its commercial scope.
