Little Busters! Sekai no Saitou wa Ore ga Mamoru!

Little Busters! Sekai no Saitou wa Ore ga Mamoru! was produced by J.C.Staff and released in 2013 as part of the expanded multimedia landscape surrounding Key's popular visual novel, Little Busters!. This OVA serves as a lighthearted, standalone side story that integrates into the broader narrative arc of the series, focusing on the character Saitou as he attempts to maintain his mysterious persona amidst the antics of the Little Busters group. It reflects the studio's commitment to translating the emotional and comedic range of the original game into an animated format.

The visual design and animation direction were handled by the J.C.Staff creative team, who sought to maintain continuity with the preceding television series' aesthetic. The production leaned into the character-driven humor characteristic of the franchise, aiming to offer fans a more intimate look at the group's interpersonal dynamics. The release was generally received as a faithful expansion of the source material, providing a dedicated space for character development that was often constrained by the tighter pacing of the full-season adaptations.
