Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: Take On Me Mini-Theater

The Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions: Take On Me Mini-Theater series consists of short, humorous promotional episodes released alongside the 2017 theatrical film. These shorts were produced by Kyoto Animation to maintain audience engagement during the theatrical rollout, serving as lighthearted companion pieces that expand on the quirky, imaginative world of the show's protagonists. They lean into the surreal, fantasy-driven 'chunibyo' delusions that define the series' unique visual and narrative identity.

The animation reflects Kyoto Animation's signature aesthetic, characterized by expressive character designs and polished, fluid motion even within a concise format. These mini-episodes were storyboarded and directed by members of the core production team to ensure tonal consistency with the feature film. They were well-received by the established fan base for their ability to distill the character-driven comedy of the franchise into bite-sized segments, functioning as a bridge between the serialized television seasons and the cinematic conclusion.
