Where it came from
Mushi-shi: The Next Passage, or Mushi-shi Zoku-Sho, was produced by Studio Artland as a direct continuation of the 2005 anime adaptation of Yuki Urushibara’s manga series. Directed by Hiroshi Nagahama, the series was released in 2014 to satisfy lingering demand for a faithful continuation of Ginko’s journey. The production maintained the deliberate, atmospheric pacing of the original series, focusing on the ecological and supernatural relationship between humans and the primitive life forms known as mushi.
