My Neighbors the Yamadas

Released in 1999, My Neighbors the Yamadas represents a departure from Studio Ghibli's traditional narrative and visual style. Directed by Isao Takahata, the film was adapted from Hisaichi Ishii's four-panel newspaper comic strip, Nono-chan.
