Team 7 members Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are given a mission by Kakashi. Since Kakashi cannot participate himself, Naruto is appointed acting leader. As a result of this decision, Naruto is fully motivated to make the mission a success. However, on the way, Team 7 finds themselves lost in another world.
What appears before the bewildered trio is a boy with a face resembling a frog's, named Fūsuke. What awaits them in this strange new world?

Where it came from
NARUTO×NINKU refers to the crossover promotional material produced by Studio Pierrot to celebrate the legacy of their major action-adventure properties. Ninku, originally a serialized manga by Koji Kiriyama in the 1990s, was adapted into an anime by Pierrot and is often cited as a stylistic precursor to the ninja-themed action seen in later long-running shonen series. This collaboration serves as a historical bridge, acknowledging the studio's role in defining the genre through these two distinct narratives.
The design of these crossover visuals leans heavily into the signature animation aesthetic developed by Studio Pierrot during the late 1990s and 2000s. By placing the characters side-by-side, the studio intended to highlight the evolution of their character designs and the kinetic, high-energy action sequences that became their hallmark. It was received as a nostalgic retrospective, aimed primarily at long-time fans who grew up watching the evolution of the studio’s output from the mid-90s era to the global success of the Naruto franchise.
