Where it came from
Nou Nen is a collection of writings and photography by the Japanese actress and artist Rena Nonen, published to offer a more personal view of her creative evolution. The work emerged during a transitional period in her career, serving as a medium for her to express her artistic identity and interests beyond her established roles in film and television.
The publication captures Nonen’s distinct aesthetic, characterized by a vibrant and somewhat surreal visual style that mirrors her interest in illustration and fashion. By blending autobiographical snippets with candid photography, the project was intended to bridge the gap between her public persona and her private creative practice, ultimately receiving a warm reception from fans who appreciated her multifaceted approach to self-expression.
