Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hats arrive aboard the Sunny to the Pirates Festival, the world's largest celebration created by and for pirates. Buena Festa, the festival organizer, invites the Straw Hats and all Worst Generation crews to partake in the festivities. Luring even Shichibukai and Marines to its shores, it seems that no pirate or sailor can resist the enticing secrets that the event hides behind its glamor.
The festival's contest is simple: find one of the treasures Gol D. Roger left behind. As the competition progresses, the various pirate crews fight each other in a free-for-all battle royale—that is, until the sudden appearance of an unexpected pirate drastically changes the game.

Where it came from
One Piece: Stampede was produced by Toei Animation and released in 2019 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the One Piece anime franchise. Directed by Takashi Otsuka, the film was designed as a massive, action-heavy celebration of the series, centered around a fictional 'Pirates Festival' that gathers a vast array of characters from across the long-running narrative. The project aimed to reward dedicated fans by featuring an unprecedented number of cameos and high-stakes combat sequences.
The production process emphasized spectacle and fan service, moving away from traditional dense story arcs to focus on a fast-paced, ensemble-driven narrative. The film was well-received by the franchise's global audience, praised for its fluid animation quality and the sheer scale of its character interactions. It serves as a significant milestone in the franchise's history, functioning as both a standalone adventure and a love letter to two decades of Eiichiro Oda's world-building.
