Princess Principal: Crown Handler - Chapter 4

Princess Principal: Crown Handler - Chapter 4 serves as the penultimate installment in the six-part film sequel series that continues the narrative of the 2017 television anime. Produced by Studio Actas, the series maintains the dark, espionage-heavy atmosphere of the original Victorian-era steampunk setting. The project was conceived to further explore the intricate geopolitical tensions between Albion and the Commonwealth, continuing the character-driven arcs that established the franchise's unique blend of tactical intrigue and personal loyalty.

The film follows the distinct visual aesthetic established by director Masaki Tachibana, who emphasized a muted, sophisticated color palette to contrast with the high-stakes mechanical action sequences. The production design remains focused on the complex interplay between the five main girls—the 'Team White Pigeon'—as they navigate the consequences of the shifting political landscape in London. Upon release, the series has been noted for its commitment to character development and its ability to sustain long-form storytelling within the dense, multilayered world initially created by Ichiro Okouchi.
