Where it came from
Released in 2010 by Studio Artland, this original net animation (ONA) served as a lighthearted promotional supplement to the long-running Reborn! anime series. The story follows the Vongola Family on a school trip, a narrative device commonly used in shonen manga and anime to place established characters in a lower-stakes, comedic environment outside of their typical combat-heavy arcs.
The character designs draw directly from Akira Amano’s original manga aesthetic, characterized by sharp silhouettes and distinctive, vibrant color palettes. As a short-form project, the production focused on capturing the slapstick chemistry of the core ensemble, receiving a positive reception from the dedicated fanbase who appreciated seeing the cast interact in the more casual, slice-of-life scenarios that often defined the quieter moments of the series.
