Red Data Girl, known in Japan as RDG: Red Data Girl, is a supernatural fantasy anime series adapted from the light novel series by Noriko Ogiwara. Produced by P.A. Works and directed by Toshiyuki Shinohara, the series debuted in 2013 and follows Izumiko Suzuhara, a shy girl raised at a secluded shrine whose touch destroys electronic devices. The narrative blends Japanese folklore and Shinto traditions with modern coming-of-age tropes, centering on her discovery of her identity as a vessel for a powerful deity.

The character designs were originally conceived by Mel Kishida and adapted for animation by Minoru Takeuchi. The series sought to emphasize a contemplative, atmospheric aesthetic consistent with P.A. Works' signature production style. Upon its release, it was noted for its lush backgrounds and deliberate pacing, though critical reception was mixed regarding the complexity of its plot and the slow development of its central mystery.
