Reverse Witch Trial ~Trial by Horny Witch~ THE ANIMATION

Reverse Witch Trial ~Trial by Horny Witch~ THE ANIMATION was produced by the adult animation studio Pink Pineapple and released in 2015. It functions as an adult OVA (Original Video Animation) adaptation based on the source material of a similar title, fitting into the studio's long-standing model of producing short-form animated content for the adult niche market, a sector of the Japanese animation industry that prioritizes rapid production cycles and distinct, often trope-heavy, narrative templates.

The character designs and animation direction were executed in accordance with the standard aesthetic conventions of mid-2010s adult anime, emphasizing highly stylized, hyperbolic character models intended to appeal to specific subcultures within the medium. Like much of Pink Pineapple's output from this period, the project was designed for direct-to-video distribution rather than television, receiving little mainstream critical appraisal and functioning primarily as a commercial product for a dedicated adult audience.
