Shiiba-san no Ura no Kao. with Imouto Lip

Shiiba-san no Ura no Kao is an adult animated production released in 2014 by the studio Pink Pineapple, a significant name in the OVA market known for adapting manga series into the hentai format. The production belongs to a wave of mid-2010s releases that leveraged established manga source material to cater to a specialized demographic of anime viewers who favored the studio’s signature high-contrast character art and focus on narrative-driven adult themes.

The character designs were conceptualized to emphasize the dual nature of the title character, a common trope in the subgenre that explores the contrast between a character's public persona and their private life. As an independent OVA project, it follows the typical industry trend of the era where studios utilized tight, self-contained runtimes to maximize stylistic consistency, relying on the established appeal of the original character illustrations to maintain interest within the niche adult animation community.
