Where it came from
Show Time! 2 was produced by Rabbit Gate and released in 2022 as an original net animation (ONA). This project serves as a continuation within the studio's broader catalog of short-form digital works, reflecting the trend of independent or small-studio animators leveraging online distribution platforms to reach niche audiences directly, bypassing traditional broadcast television cycles.
The creative direction behind the project focuses on stylized, rhythmic animation typical of contemporary web-based shorts. As an ONA, the production prioritizes visual flair and concise storytelling, aiming to engage viewers on social media and streaming platforms. It was developed to build upon the aesthetic established in the first installment, utilizing a digital-first approach to character movement and scene composition.
