Shuang Yue Zhi Cheng

Shuang Yue Zhi Cheng, often known by its English title Dual Moon, is a Chinese original net animation (ONA) produced by Shanghai Longcang Cultural Creative Company. Released within the robust ecosystem of Chinese digital animation, the project emerged during a period of significant growth for domestic high-fantasy storytelling. It was developed to capitalize on the increasing popularity of stylized, computer-generated animation techniques that favor fluid character movement and intricate, ethereal world-building, catering to audiences drawn to mythological themes.

The creative direction focused on synthesizing traditional celestial motifs with modern digital aesthetics. By emphasizing a dual-moon setting, the studio aimed to ground its visual narrative in a distinctive, high-concept atmosphere that differentiates it from more grounded historical dramas. Upon its debut, the series was received by its core audience as a visually ambitious entry, praised for its commitment to aesthetic atmosphere, though it remains a niche representative of the studio's broader efforts to expand the technical capabilities of independent Chinese animation houses.
