Studio KAI, in collaboration with HORNETS, adapted the series into an anime in 2022. The production was intended to capture the mix of high-stakes fantasy combat and the protagonist Arc's fish-out-of-water comedy, balancing character-driven humor with the series' signature skeletal aesthetic.

The character design process for the protagonist, Arc, presented a unique challenge in maintaining expressive personality through the rigid, skull-based features of a skeleton. The production team focused on fluid animation and clear visual language to ensure the audience could empathize with the lead despite his monstrous appearance.
