SOS! Chao Wei Zhichang Ren

SOS! Chao Wei Zhichang Ren, also known as SOS! Super Dimension Workplace People, was released by the animation studio Sheng Guang Qishi Tuan. The ONA emerged during a period of burgeoning interest in independent Chinese digital animation, serving as a satirical commentary on the high-pressure environment of the modern corporate workplace in China. The project reflects the studio's broader commitment to creating relatable, bite-sized social critiques that resonate with younger generations navigating urban employment.

The design of the series centers on a stylized, expressive aesthetic that prioritizes comedic timing and situational relatability over hyper-realism. By utilizing sharp character archetypes and exaggerated office scenarios, the creators aimed to distill the frustrations of professional life into a humorous narrative format. Upon its release, the series was noted within niche animation circles for its ability to capture the zeitgeist of office culture, helping establish Sheng Guang Qishi Tuan as a distinct voice in contemporary online animation.
