Sweetness & Lightning, known in Japan as Amaama to Inazuma, originated as a manga series by Gido Amagakure before being adapted into a 2016 television anime by TMS Entertainment. The story follows a widowed high school teacher attempting to learn how to cook for his young daughter, Tsumugi, with the assistance of one of his students.
