Utage Kinoshita is a high school girl who works part-time as a housekeeper. She has devoted her life to her favorite idol, Tamon Fukuhara, from the group F/ACE. Then one day, Utage ends up being assigned to Tamon’s house! There she discovers that off-stage, he is nothing like his wild idol persona. A gloomy, introverted boy with no self-confidence, Utage still finds herself falling for him anyway.

Where it came from
Tamon's B-Side was produced by J.C.Staff and released as an ONA in 2026. As an original net animation, it serves as a narrative expansion within a broader media franchise, focusing on the character Tamon. The project was designed to capitalize on the increasing trend of digital-first distribution, allowing the studio to experiment with tighter, character-driven storytelling outside the constraints of traditional television broadcast schedules.
The visual direction for the project emphasizes a contemporary, clean aesthetic typical of J.C.Staff’s mid-2020s output, prioritizing fluid character animation to convey the emotive tone of the protagonist’s personal journey. Upon its release, the work was positioned as a companion piece for established fans, receiving attention for its stylistic consistency and its role in deepening the franchise's world-building through supplemental storytelling.
