Following its serialization on the user-generated publishing platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō, the story gained enough popularity to receive a print release and subsequent manga adaptation, eventually leading to its 2023 anime production. The narrative centers on a salaryman who is reincarnated into a fantasy world as a healer, focusing on his tactical development and persistence within a rigid adventuring hierarchy.

The 2023 anime adaptation was produced by Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts, directed by Masato Tamagawa. The production aimed to balance the series' signature bureaucratic approach to fantasy progression with the established aesthetic of the light novel's character designs. Upon its release, the adaptation was noted for its focus on the protagonist's gradual, methodical growth, distinguishing it within the crowded isekai genre of the early 2020s.
