Tiandi Fengyun Lu: Juezhan Shike

Tiandi Fengyun Lu: Juezhan Shike, or Legend of the Heaven and Earth: Battle of the Moment, was produced by Pili International Multimedia as part of the broader glove puppetry tradition known as budaixi. Emerging from the long-standing Tiandi Fengyun Lu series, this installment continues the elaborate narrative style characteristic of Pili productions, which blend traditional puppetry techniques with contemporary high-definition cinematography, intricate costumes, and complex orchestral scores to appeal to modern television audiences.

The design of the series reflects the evolution of Pili's aesthetic, emphasizing highly ornate, artisanal puppets that feature sophisticated articulation and hand-stitched detailing. Created under the stewardship of Huang Li-chou, the production team sought to elevate the medium by integrating elaborate special effects and dynamic martial arts choreography. Upon its release, the series was received as a milestone in the genre, praised for its dense storytelling and the craftsmanship involved in bringing these characters to life in a televised format.
