Toaru Kagaku no Railgun: Motto Marutto Railgun

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun: Motto Marutto Railgun is a 2010 original video animation (OVA) episode produced by the studio J.C.Staff. It serves as a special entry in the popular Railgun franchise, based on the light novel series by Kazuma Kamachi. The episode was conceived as a lighthearted bonus installment following the conclusion of the first television anime season, designed to offer fans a comedic, slice-of-life perspective on the characters outside the usual high-stakes narrative arcs.

The animation features the character designs of Yuichi Tanaka, who translated the aesthetic of the original illustrations into a fluid, expressive visual style for the screen. Like much of the Railgun anime adaptation, the episode was generally well-received by the existing fanbase for its faithful characterization and its ability to maintain the series' signature blend of science-fiction action and casual school-life dynamics. It remains a notable example of the supplementary media produced during the height of the franchise's initial television run.
