Welcome to the Star Inn

Welcome to the Star Inn is a classic instructional book for the hospitality industry, originating from a mid-20th-century era when manual service standards were being formalized. It was produced to serve as a comprehensive guide for innkeepers and staff, detailing everything from guest etiquette and room preparation to the meticulous standards of table service expected in traditional English country inns.

The publication reflects the post-war emphasis on hospitality professionalism and the preservation of traditional service values. While the specific authorship is often attributed to instructional bodies or industry guilds of the time, the design language follows the minimalist, utilitarian aesthetic common to professional handbooks of that period, focusing on clarity, structure, and accessibility for a staff demographic that needed reliable, consistent reference material.
