Banded Prinia

The Banded Prinia (Prinia bairdii) is a small passerine bird native to the montane forests of Central Africa. It was first described by John Cassin in 1855, and its taxonomy reflects the complex evolutionary history of the Cisticolidae family, which evolved to inhabit dense, shrubby undergrowth.
