Black-lored Yellowthroat

The Black-lored Yellowthroat, Geothlypis auricularis, is a species of New World warbler native to the mangroves and marshes of western Ecuador and northwestern Peru. Taxonomically, it was long considered a subspecies of the tropical yellowthroat, but it has increasingly been recognized as a distinct species based on its unique facial mask patterns and vocalizations.
