Blue-black Kingfisher

The Blue-black Kingfisher, scientifically classified as Todiramphus nigrocyaneus, is a species native to the lowland forests and swampy environments of New Guinea and its surrounding islands. Within the taxonomy of the Alcedinidae family, this bird is distinguished by its deep, iridescent plumage, which shifts between cobalt and dark indigo depending on the light.
