Brown-headed Apalis

The Brown-headed Apalis (Apalis alticola) is a passerine bird belonging to the Cisticolidae family, primarily found in the montane forests of central and eastern Africa. First described by the British ornithologist and explorer Richard Bowdler Sharpe in 1891, the species was identified within the context of 19th-century European biological surveys aimed at cataloging the biodiversity of the African continent.
